Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter, age 65, has isolated throbbing in her left outer calf. She attended a function today where she sat for over three hours outdoors in 90+ degree weather. During this time she consumed about 20 oz. of water. Since arriving home she has consumed another 20 oz. of tea. Am wondering if it could be dehydration, or possible blood clot. Your opinion please
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, this is not the blood clot neither this is dehydration but this could happens due to venous blood return obstruction sitting in single position for long time may cause such symptoms keeping leg in elevated position may reduce the symptom, hope this information helps, take care.
