What Causes Throbbing In Upper Teeth Followed By Facial Numbness?

I have a history of migraines. They always occur on the left side of my face. Typically my upper left teeth begin to throb, then the left side of my face grows numb, and eventually I experience a headache above my left eye. Tonight the left side of my face is numbing and there is a squeezing, throbbing type sensation running across the left side of my face, including my nose and forehead. My teeth are not hurting, although the gums on the left side are involved in the throbbing or squeezing sensation. Would you expect this to simply be a variety of my migraine symptoms? I have taken 2 Excedrin Migraine capsules 30 minutes ago, and am waiting for some relief. There is no headache yet.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of pain in face on left side involving gums along with numbing and throbbing sensation on face along with pain in forehead seems to be due to inflammation of sinuses leading to Sinusitis and seems that you have Sinus headache..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view or MRI SCAN of sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen, decongestant like Phenylephrine, saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You should avoid chilled foods and air-conditioning atmosphere..
Steroid nasal sprays and decongestant spray can also help..
