What Causes Throbbing Pain And Discomfort In Testicle?

I m a white male, age 38, and I ve been experiencing gradually worsening pain and discomfort in my left testicle for the last couple of weeks. It started off as a just an intermittent dull ache for the first couple of days (probably only a 2-3 at worse on the pain scale), to where it s now developed to a constant throbbing ache that sometimes reaches around a 5 or so. There are no noticeable changes in the pain level between resting, activity, standing, sitting, etc. I didn t notice anything upon doing a self-examination, but to be frank, I m no doctor and it s hard to know what I m looking or feeling for-my wife did the same thing, and she thought that one might be swollen, but is in the same boat as I am on medical expertise. Do you have any thoughts on what could be going on? Thanks so much for your time!

Hii,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

variety Of Medical Conditions can cause pain in testicle ,Pain may arise from within the testicle itself or Sometimes, what seems to be testicle pain is caused by a problem that starts in the groin, abdomen or somewhere else — like, kidney stones and some hernias may also cause testicular pain

apart from this it can be a sign of testicular torsion- a twisted testicle that can lose its blood supply quickly and This condition requires immediate medical attention

so it needs thorough medical check up and investigations to spot a confirm diagnosis

however you can take over the counter anti inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen and along with this wear an scrotum support (athletic supporter)
to relieve pain and discomfort
but i would strongly suggest you to see your GP as soon as possible to rule out any underlying medical condition

I hope it help
