What Causes Throbbing Pain Between The Toes?

Between my little toe and next toe has been sore for a few days now. It looked like there was a sort of white blister thing there, but it was throbbing quite a bit even when not putting pressure on it... I sterilized a needle and broke the skin. It seems like it is not too deep but is quite red raw looking... what sort of cream should I put on it? Betadine?
