General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the throbbing pain in the ankles after treating of broken foot indicates possible ligament or nerve damage during the episode of foot injury. Although, multiple conservative approaches must be obtained at various ortho specialists, it is most important to undergo an MRI of the ankle for identification of the underlying cause and manage the case accordingly rater than wasting time and money.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
