Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i had an injection of celestone and xylocaine this morning of in my shoulder for bursitis. I was not prepared for how intense the injection would be. I m pretty sure, half was through the injection I scream. I have iced, i have warm compressions, It is 15 hours later, I am hurting. This has been a long process of PT and Aleve. At this point, a friend with several shoulder surgeries said I should ask for tremodol(?) it started with a T.... The throbbing pain had gone on for a while. I am tired. Need some kind of pain relief in addition to ICE!!
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out ligament or tendon injury.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
