What Causes Throbbing Palm?

hi on my left hand if you follow the line of the little finger down to the fleshy part of the palm, say once an hour or so the palm starts to throb and hurt a few seconds ,you can actually see thepalm going in and out a few seconds life a dimple ,what could this be?
