What Causes Thrush After Periods?

Hi, I have had what I believe is thrush after my period for the past 3 months in a row. And another 4-6 occasions over the past year, sometimes after my period, sometimes not. I treat it with over the counter medication but I m sick of this now! Will it make a difference if I change the contraceptive pill I m on? Or stop using tampons? Could it also be caused by waxing? (as I do my own bikini waxing).

Hello.
Yes, thrush after periods is known as the pH of the vaginal changes.
It can also be brought on by waxing.
Use OTC this time, and take probiotics.
The pill has nothing to do with it.
Get your blood sugars tested.
