Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

In the normal heart beat, a signal starts at a specific point in the heart and the signal travels to stimulate the rest the heart to beat. The signal or stimulus normally travels along a specific pathway.

Palpitations can occur due to any changes in this normal mechanism.

It can be due to dangerous or benign causes. Normally blood tests and heart tests are done specifically an ECG , full blood count and thyroid function test.
The ECG looks at the rhythm of the heart.
A holter can also be done, this is a 24 hour ECG.

If these tests are normal then there is unlikely any significant problems present.

I hope this helps
