What Causes Tight Ans Sore Muscles In Back Of Head?

hi have neck problems, really tight and sore muscles in the back of my head down trough trap muscles into both shoulders when I bow my head feel a little light headed sometimes. Had this before a year ago lasted almost a month went for all kinds of tests. ct scans everything was normal. Reoccurs from time to time and lasts for weeks. What can I do? I've been to the chiropractor, sometimes it helps but not always. Can anxiety and stress causing this? Will weight lifting help?
