What Causes Tight Knots Under The Skin After An Abdominoplasty?

I got a tummy tuck about 3 weeks ago. I also had just about 1000 cc of lipo from flanks removed. I have a few tight knots of tissue under my skin that are visible and I can feel. Like the size of the top piece of the soap dispenser and almost rigid like this as well. I can even say they are almost oddly shaped like that. Is this normal and what is this? I have about 5. They are all in different areas. This Monday, will actually be my 3rd week PO.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to post-operative induration and is due to inflammation around the suture sites.
It will take very long to resolve.
Nothing much to worry and it won’t cause any problems.
If you experience pain, you can go for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
