What Causes Tightness Around Chest And Back?

For the past 3 days, I ve had a tightness across my chest and back, just below by breast line. Feels like a 1 inch belt is wrapped around my chest/back and pulled mildly tight. Doesn t hurt. Not painful, just slightly constricting. I m male, 71, generally in good health. Any thoughts.

Hi.

I would recommend a check on your gastric tract for conditions like gastritis, peptic ulcers, hyperacidity, etc. But as your chest is also involved a cardiac profile while you are at your doctors can also be considered. In the meantime avoid stress and drink plenty of water and use any antacid you can get your hands on.
