What Causes Tightness Around Rib Cage?

For the last couple of weeks I have had the feeling of trapped wind, like a tightness around my ribcage to the point where I can hardly breath. I doubled up on my last femodette pack and have now finished the last pill so my period should begin this coming Friday. Last few weeks I have been moody, irritable, emotional (unlike me) and now I just feel bloated and unconfortable, tired with occassional bouts of back ache. I had one case of severe diahorria at New Year and then I've not really moved since in that department. In terms of my pill, I have taken a few tablets at irregular times of the day and at the start of the pack 2 months back I missed the first day (but did not have a break and carried on to the second back straight away)
