What Causes Tightness In Chest And Chest Pain While Eating Food?

Hi. For a few days now, I have been having some mild chest tightness and have been a bit sweaty from time to time. The chest pain seems to be the most significant when I eat something, and seems to relieve itself temporarily when I conduct light exercise and when I drink some warm green tea. Also, the chest pain is barely noticeable when I sleep. Finally, I have been having a tingly sensation in my throat, though I do not cough very often. I am overweight, but I have am quite physically active, and I do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages. My family thinks that I have a stomach problem, but I worry that it may be a heart problem. I would like insight on what this issue could be.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely due to gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux. But it is better to have an ECG to rule out any heart problems to be on safe side. For such cases in my patients i usually advise Proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole and anti emetic domperidone.I also advise them to have light meals at short intervals.Fried foods pickles colas excessive coffee tea etc should be avoided.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
