What Causes Tightness In Chest And Labored Breathing During Humid Weather?
I don t have asthma, but when it s especially humid my chest feels somewhat tight and my breathing is more pronounced.. takes more effort to breathe. I m not wheezing or gasping or anything like that. Also get fullness in my ears and feel lightheaded from it (for yrs). Non-smoker, no lung problems... is this normal?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my daily practice I have come across so many patients complaining of breathing problems during season change. I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). Some times humid atmosphere can cause inflammation in the lungs and cause bronchitis. And this can be easily picked up by PFT. So PFT is needed for you. And you can start montelukast and levocetrizine combination before the humid season and continue till next season.
