General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I share your concern
This could be a viral infection or allergic reaction
In my opinion you should take her to an ENT surgeon for examination and FNAC for the swollen lymph node
I would advise for tonsillectomy as a permanent cure
She should do gargling with warm saline water or antiseptic mouth wash like betadine gargles
Influenza vaccine is recommended
Steam inhalation will definitely help her
ask her not to take cold drinks or icy substances to eat like ice cream

Hope this helps her
Thanks for your question
wish you good health
regards
I find this answer helpful
