What Causes Tightness In The Chest And Nausea?

My 33 y.o. boyfriend fainted during rest 2 weeks ago. 1 week ago, he had chest pains, tightness when inhaling, nausea(did go to er) and they decided that it was probably GERD. He is scheduled for a scope down the esophagus on Wed. Yesterday he took a Clonozepan (?sp), which is the 3rd in a week of having them and was dizzy for about 1-2 hours afterward then was fine. Today, he did NOT take any and has been feeling like he is drunk with NO alcohol in his system. He took a 2 1/2 hour nap and did not feel any better upon waking. No fever, but is flushed. BP is high for him but normal for the general population. Any ideas? :-/
