Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i went to the docter for an ekg it was abnormal ive been having a hard time sleeping the docter gave me a nitro gliserine pill to see if there was any change there was very little change ive been having tightness in the chest but not chest pain im haveing hiccups for no reason im also being reffered to a cardiologist
Hello. welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Chest Tightness may be a symptom of reduced blood supply of heart but it may be due to gas problem or muscular pain also.
Abnormal ekg is not actually much informative about what type of heart disease is there, so My advice to you is you should do your trademill stress test which will confirm about reduced blood supply of heart. If stress test is normal then it usually rules out ischaemia to heart.
Stress echocardiography is other more effective diagnostic procedure for ischaemia (reduced blood supply).
So do those investigations which I have advised and consult a cardiologist. Thank you. Have a nice day.
