What Causes Tightness In The Throat And Jaw?

Past three months I ve been suffering with tightness in throat, tongue feels like its swelling at night teeth are clenching and also jaw feels tense and tight. Was thinking Tyroid my gp is putting it down to anxiety but my anxiety is under control I m not anxious of anything .

Welcome to healthcare magic.

As per your complain you have problem of clenching a teeth called bruxisum. Stress and tension is most common reason.

Excessive clenching of tooth at night cause more muscle pain and tightness.
You can take muscle relaxant.

At night time anxiety or stress not undercontol.In unconscious mind all thing is store.

Night guard is helpful in bruxisum problems.
Consult a dentist for further treatment.
