What Causes Tightness Sensation In The Chest And Numbness In The Hands?

I experience a feeling like two hands squeezing around my neck just under my jaw on each side and pressure behind my eyeballs like someone is inside my head pushing my eyeballs out. I have noticed that my (prescribed to me if taken daily as prescribed or halfing my daily dose even) Trazodone after I take it I feel this feeling. I have tightness in my chest and what feels like a quick pierce of pain just below my ribs on my left side. NOT EVERYDAY/NIGHT but more than not I have numbness in both hands and cramps(painful to stand on) in my right calf. The blood pressure machine at Wal-Mart tells me I have hypertension. My pulse runs on the high side also. Is this a heart problem? The medication? I m afraid with no insurance to go to the ER/Urgent care and get told heartburn or we don t see anything.

Hello,

You feel tightness in the chest and neck. You feel numbness in hands. Your blood pressure is high.. which may be the cause of these complaints. You consult the physician and get properly checked and investigated.

If needed, the ECG may be done to get right status of your heart. Nothing to worry about Trazodone you take. Just consult the physician.
He will change the drug or the dose for blood pressure.
