What Causes Tingling And Numbness In Face After Eating Particular Food?

Last night whilst eating a vegetable tom yam soup followed by a vegetable satay i experienced tingling and numbness in my face from my top lip to just above the eyes. this has never happened before and lasted about 2 hours. I am lactose intolerant but not sure if this is related.
