Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing tingling and numbness in my right hand in the forth and fifth fingers.. I am not aware of any damage to my ulcer nerve. Will it go away on it s own? I have had carpal tunnel in both of my wrists when I was pregnant and that eventually went away. The was many years ago. Not sure weather to see a neurologist for my hand,
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Numbness/tingling are usually caused by damage, irritation or compression of a nerve. The symptoms you present could be caused by many medical conditions some of which are: -Peripheral neuropathy -Ulna nerve compression -Diabetic neuropathy though rare since it affects feet more -Brachial nerve injury -Neurologic pathologies like Multiple sclerosis -Ionic imbalances like hypocalcemia and hypomagnesemia -Vitamin B12 deficiency There are just so many causes.Only a detailed history of your problem with some paraclinical investigations can help bring out the exact cause.I will suggest you see your neurologist for investigation. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
