What Causes Tingling And Numbness On Body Along With Ringing In Ears?

My 24 year old son is having a tingling and numbness on the left side of his body on occasion. He is having excruciating headaches as well. He has a ringing in his ears or the sound of wind blowing. He had a bad head cold about 3 weeks ago. Is all this related? He also had a concussion the first week of January with a skiing accident.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms of tingling and numbness on left side of body, headache and tingling sensation could be due to concussion on the head.
A neurological examination is required to assess the peripheral nervous system.
Tingling sensation in the ears could also be due to disorder of inner ear.
Infection, inflammation or any other lesion of inner ear can also cause tingling sensation in the ears.
Thus, a clinical assessment of inner ear is required to rule out any disease process in the inner ear.
There are various causes for headache, however, the history of concussion should be viewed with suspicion so as to cause headache.
If the concussion is the not the probable cause of headache, other causes have to be looked for.
Thus, consult your physician preferable a neurologist and an ENT specialist.
