What Causes Tingling In Arm During Sleep?

i woke up on a few occasions (sorry about my spelling) and my right arm wouldnt move. it will fill tingly as it it fell asleep except i cant move ir. some times i can move it at the shoulder i little bit. it goes away in about 5 minutes or so and it doesnt hurt it just worries me. is this normal?
