What Causes Tingling In Right Testicle?

Hi Doctor,

I am a 30 year old male. For about three days now, I've been having a dull, throbbing/tingling in my right testicle. I have no left testicle- it was lost when I was a preteen because of direct trauma.

It's making me incredibly nervous. What should I do?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
It is noted that your left testicle was removed because of trauma.

Your present symptoms are there for the last three days only, and in the form of dull throbbing and tingling in the right testicle.

The probable causes can be :
Compensatory hypertrophy to compensate for the absence of the left testis. To fulfill the needs of the body there is usually compensatory hypertrophy of the remaining testis.

While on such a change you may get the pain and sensation you have.

Another reason can be an entrapment of the nerves supplying the right testis , may be due to muscular hypertrophy.

Another small possibility of a varicose vain has to be ruled out.

I would suggest to undergo the following.
Clinical/ Physical examination by an Urologist ( as you have one testis).
Ultrasonography and color doppler examination.
Scrotal support.
Bed rest.
Antibiotics and supportive anti-inflammatory medicines as required and as per the findings.
I find this answer helpful
