What Causes Tingling In Soles Of Feet And Palms Of Hands?

i had a sudden onset of tingling (more like needle type pains) the soles of both of my feet and the palms of both my hands and the roof of my mouth...I thought I was going to pass out (my hearing was going and my vision was not right). It passed after a few minutes. What might this be? I am female, age 53, 5', 138 lbs.
