What Causes Tingling In The Nerves And Pain In The Hand?

I experience tingling in nerves (seems like water flow) and occasional dull pain in hand - mainly between right elbow and palm. Is this due to medications and an indication of a troubled nervous system? I take Metformin SR 1.5g, Irbesartan 150mg, Atorvastatin 5mg and Ecosprin Delayed release 75mg.

Hi,
You are on diabetic medications as well as cholesterol lowering agents.
Diabetes itself can cause pins and needles sensation or tingling sensation hinting towards peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage due to higer blood sugar levels). Also at times metformin can cause vitamin B deficiency.

Kindly take Vitamin B capsules for three months. daily one two tablets.

Keep your blood sugar levels in control.
Get FBS, PPBS levels checked regularly and Hb1AC levels checked once in three months.

Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
