Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tingling In The Nose, Lips, Throat And Tongue?
The last couple of days, my nose, lips, throat, and Tongue start to tingle every so often. 5 min. ago my nose, Tongue, lips, throat, started tingling and then I was having trouble moving my jaw. It lasted about 1 min. however my face feels funny like its going to happen again. Do you have an idea on what could be causing it?
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per your complain the symptoms of tingling of nose, lips, throat and tongue along with trouble in moving the jaw seems to be due to nerve related problems that can be due to infection or injury to the facial nerve that supplies muscles of face and any disturbance in its function can lead to reduced or paralyzed movement and also tingling and heaviness.
As it is a repeated symptom you should consult an Oral Physician or a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like MRI Scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. You can be advised steroids, multivitamins and physiotherapy for relief.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr Honey Arora
