What Causes Tingling Pain From Lower Back Upto The Foot When Suffering From Scoliasis?

I am 46 years old. I have scoliosis detected when I was young. I showed it to a specialist in the year 1975. The doctor at that time suggested since I was active, intelligent and could do all activities physical and mental we should not interfere. The technology during that time was also not there so risk was not taken. I grew up like that and I am comfortable and have been able to do all the work both physically and mentally tough jobs and have been regularly playing outdoor games and have been regularly gyming too. I am worried whether it will take a toll from now onwards as my age is increasing. Some times I have tingling pain starting from lower back and spreading thru the left leg upto the left foot and finger of the foot. Then automatically it gets reduced. What precautions should I take in future for a hassle free life.
