What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In Finger Tips?

about a week ago the tips of my 3 middle fingers on my left hand started tingling. a day or so later i noticed fingers were numb. then my thumb. then came my palm and pinky. there is no pain involved. i work out a lot, mainly cardio and abs, and am thinking perhaps its a pinched nerve. i am a court clerk and doing my job is becoming increasingly difficult. i am right handed. a friend said it could be carpal tunnel but reading the symptoms i am not at all sure. my neck has been a little stiff and if i drop my head in a certain position i do get a 'pull' on the back left side. i am 33 years old, 5'7", and 148 lbs.
