What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Thumb And Index Finger?

Have a small rotator cuff tear..has been under control..shots every 3 months...I now have referred pain down inside of arm with tingling and numbness in my thumb a nd index finger. I now feel it might be coming from my neck (I have stenosis in cervical area...two years ago I was rear ended by a drunk driver. Rotator tear not caused by accident..verified by two orthopedics.

hi,
tingling and numbness in index finger is caused by nerve depression or damage anywhere in the course starting for origin to termination.
so it may be rotor cuff injury too.
after clinical sensory or motor examination of upper limb can reveal the site where the nerve is involved.
