Hello,
The following are few causes of severe tingling in feet:
1) Lumbar disc prolapse
2)
Sciatic nerve compression
3) Diabetes and diabetic neuropathy
4) Multiple sclerosis
5) Hypothyroidism
6) Tarsal tunnel syndrome
7) Chronic alcoholism
8) Lumbosacral plexopathy
The following are my recommendations:
1) As you have tried occupational and
physical therapy, you may need to go for surgery to remove the bone spur and relieve the foot pain.
2) Big toe
fungal infection can be treated by nail on external application on the toe nail and
oral antifungal medications like oral
itraconazole or
ketoconazole to be taken for 8-12 weeks daily once.
3) For foot pain, immediate relief can be achieved by taking pain medication like NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Naproxen daily twice for 1 week.
4) If you have any bleeding disorders or kidney failure or severe gastric irritation, NSAIDs should not be used but opioids like
oxycodone and Tramadol can be used instead.
5) Foot muscles strengthening exercises which you might have learnt in physical therapy must be continued
6) For tingling, you need to go to a physician and for accurate diagnosis of one of the above-mentioned causes and appropriate treatment.
7) You can take tab. Neurobion forte daily once for at least 3 months to get relief from neuropathy related tingling and pain in foot.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
