What Causes Tingling Sensation In Head?

I am a 49 yr old female and have been experiencing electrical (like shocks) in my head. They are sporatic, gone as fast and unexpected they came. Maybe over right side of head, then across the top, normally 2-3 at a time right after each other. Can you provide some insight or possible problem I need to have checked out. Thank you.
