What Causes Tingling Sensation In Teeth?

I am experiencing a tingling sensation in my two, top front teeth. It feels like the nerves inside are tingling. It is not painful, but I am aware of it and it is upsetting me. I tested my teeth by biting into and apple, and did not experience any sharp pain from biting.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain tingling sensation in teeth can be due to a number of causes like tooth decay leading to inflammation in nerves and blood vessels of the teeth, Tooth decay leading to dental abscess formation, damage or injury to the nerve supplying the affected teeth either due to trauma or anaesthesia injection.

In case if there is no decay or nerve injury the cause for tingling can be due to infection in gums leading to Gingivitis.
Gingivitis can lead to tingling sensation in the gums and teeth, along with there can be bleeding and swelling in gums..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated. In case if there is a dental decay involving nerve tissue or if there is formation of dental abscess Root Canal Treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers can be relieving..

In case of nerve trauma tingling can be due to paresthesia of nerve and it can take from weeks to months or even years to heal depending upon the severity of the injury..

In case of gingivitis scaling followed by antibiotics and gum paint can help..

Hope your query is solved..
