What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Clitoris After Cycling?

After cycling, I had a strong tingling sensation in what I m assuming is the clitoris. The next day I had severe pain. Saw the Doctor and he said I had a little inflammation and a hairline scrap. Been using Advil & Polysporin since. It s been a week and I m still experiencing pain. Could I have injured/damaged a nerve or nerves?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The possibility of you having caused temporary trauma to a nerve is real. However, I wouldn't be very worried about it unless there was significant trauma associated.

Spasms are known to happen on prolonged exertion without conditioning. Continue treatment, rest and treat yourself to a day at the spa.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr ADNAN SAYEED, General & Family Physician
