What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Fingers Of The Left Hand?
Every night when I get up for what ever reason, my left hand, especially the pinky finger and ring finger is tingling like it went to sleep, and it hurts to make a fist. There is moderate pain in my hand most of the time anyway, but it tingles most nights. What would be the cause of this?
I understand your concern about the situation. From your description it is quite possible that the tingling sensation in your fingers are due to the you sleeping over your left arm in some way or other. Prolonged pressure due to your body on your left arm, can lead to transient loss of sensation, or other feelings like tingling or pain, due to pressure on the nerves. Please make sure that the bed is comfortable to sleep in, and does not cause you to sleep in only one position, as we tend to toss a few times normally. Also the bed should not be too soft. If despite doing these adjustments, the numbness, pain, and tingling persist, it would be advisable to visit a doctor for detailed check up.
Hoping that you will get well soon.
I hope that your query has been answered with adequate information. Feel free to ask any other questions that you have.
Thanks again.
