What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Left Side Of The Face And The Tongue?
I am feeling weak and poorly tingling on the left side of face and tongue...I can smile and speak simple sentences and i just raised both my arms equally..just feel wierd. I have diabetes and had a TIA last year but am doing well all vitals are normal bs was 171 BP 136/79 HR 76
Your symptoms points towards nerve damage. Nerve damage might be due to trigeminal neuralgia, complication of stroke, trauma, neuritis, diabetes, leprosy, renal failure, shingles, and vasculitis. Advice 1. Methylcobalamin (tablet Methylcobal) 500 mcg once daily per oral for 3 months 2. Amitriptyline 10 mg (tablet Tryptomer 10 mg) at bed time orally for 30 days 3. Properly take medicines for diabetes, high BP and TIA 4. Consult a neurologist for further follow up 5. Investigation a. Blood sugar (F & PP) b. MRI of brain c. Serum creatinine d. Lipid profile Thanks
