What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Legs After Removal Of Wisdom Tooth?
I had my wisdom teeth removed about 6 hours ago and I was prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory pills, and anti-pain medication. However, for about an hour I have been feeling a very uncomfortable tingling and tight sensation in my legs. I can move and feel my legs perfectly, but they feel as if they were numb, as if they were asleep and have not woken up yet. Should I be worried? What might be the cause?
As per your query you have tingling sensation in the legs after removal of wisdom tooth which is because of nerve damage which occurs after heavy force used while extracting teeth or it could be because of wrong choice of instruments. Sometimes it could be due to anesthetic complications as well for short duration.
I would suggest you to wait for around 4-5 weeks your condition of paresthesia will resolve its own. If this does not happen other treatment method is nerve regeneration. You should visit oral surgeon and try to know the exact level of nerve injury. If it can heal its own then you should wait other wise go for nerve regeneration after proper examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
