Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
These symptoms can be explained by the nerve being impinged in the neck, it is not very uncommon. Ice packs, massage all can be helpful, besides this muscle relaxant can also help however the most important thing is to correct the posture and few exercises. Here the role of physiotherapy is very important and most of the times with good posture and exercises this can get well. steroids injections are needed if this fails. Very rarely if problem is severe surgery can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
