What Causes Tingling Sensation In Tongue And Cheeks After Taking Teva-Rosuvastatin?

I have been taking Teva-rosuvastatin for the last year and I just got another prescription of this and am finding that when I take it, the end of my tongue is tingling and on my cheeks and I am getting some muscle aches on the top of my left shoulder. Should I take a breather from it? Would you consider these allergic reactions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Are your taking any heart, hypertension or diabetic medication? While taking Rosuvastatin it might gives side effects like muscle pain etc. I suggest you to stop your medication and do lipid profile test immediately. Consult your physician to get an alternative medication for Rosuvastatin.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
