What Causes Tingling Sensation On Ear, Neck And Shoulder?

I have been having tingling on my ear, neck, and shoulder on my right side for couple of days. It is intermittent but the frequency is increasing. I have some blockage in my Cortaid artery, I also have stenosis of several cervical spines. Could it be related to any of these conditions? does it need immediate attention? Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your symptoms such as tingling sensation on ear, neck and shoulder could be due to tooth infection which is not finding its way to escape and leading to facial space infection. The symptoms can also occur due to cervical spondylosis , trapezius muscle trigger points or muscle spasm , so consult orthopedic surgeon for it . I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get it examined. Get intraoperstive periapical radiograph done and find out level of infection. Start root canal treatment of particular tooth. Maintain oral hygiene by brushing and flossing twice daily. Rinse with antiseptic mouthwash such as listerine mouth wash. Another possible reason is the lymph nodes behind the ear may be inflamed due to infection of the gums or oral cavity. Get it evaluated properly and start treatment accordingly. Take combination of painkiller and cortisone injection. Start with physiotherapy as well.
