What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Finger Tips?

Why would some of my fingertips two knuckles up turn white and feel tingly if you touch them? Usually left hand three middle finders. Sometimes right middle and ring. Maybe happens once a week for a couple of weeks then nothing happens for a long time months in fact. I thought it might be from carrying heavy purse does seem to happen more when I am out shopping. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The symptoms you are describing appears that you could be having disc compression in the cervical vertebra. This would cause pressure on the supplying nerves leading to symptoms like tingling sensation in the fingers.
Kindly get x-ray of neck region done and consult Orthopaedic Surgeon with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Al the best.
