What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Left Shoulder?

I have episodes of tingling/numbness across my left shoulder, up the ramus area of my left jaw, and into my left earlobe. occurances are maybe 10 minutes apart and last about 10-15 seconds. Is it a pinched nerve and how do I treat it? It started about 6 weeks ago. No other symptoms.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

As per your symptoms it seems that there is nerve compression at the base of the skull. Tingling sensations and numbness is because of that.

For that you may need a MRI scan of head and neck region to get proper place where is compression is happening. So you need to visit a neurosurgeon for further evaluation.
During mean time you must take Vitamin B12 supplements or if there is pain involved you can also take gabapentine provided you don't have any other medical complication or allergic history.
Hope the answer will help you, revert back to us in case you want any further assistance.

Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
