What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Left Side Of The Face?

My face is tingling on the left side low my eye at the cheekbone. It happened last evening and I took to aspirins and went to bed and the same feeling has started again. Should I be worried about a stroke? I do not have a history of high blood pressure but my mother died of a stroke at 72. I am 53 female and overweight.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Tingling feeling over face may be due to trigeminal neuralgia, partial sensory seizures, hemifacial spasm or blepharospasm.

It can be normal too. Is this tingling unilateral or bilateral? Any facial deviation? Any headaches, seizures, loss of consciousness?

Continue vitamin B12 and folic acid supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
