What Causes Tingling Sensation On Vagina?

I am a 43 yr old woman. Im diabetic. I have too kids. Recently i have developed a lingering vaginal tingling sensation. I have should it to a doctor and she asked me to go for a Urine culture test. After the results came, she only recemmended me to have plenty of water and prescribed me Ofloxacin and asked me to continue a liquid diet. The problem of the vaginal tingling sensation has started again. I have no abnormal vaginal discharge. What could be the reason of the sensation? Is it because of Diabetes or onset of Menopause? Please Help.
