What Causes Tingling Sensation, Pain And Swelling In The Feet?

I ve had tingling, pain and swelling for a week first inside of left foot next day right foot, next night severe pain and tingling in bottom of both feet. No sleep even with Celebrex. Next day left foot but could still get into shoes. Next 2 days bad swelling and severe pain in right foot. Emergency room Dr. Said I had 13.3 white count and slight fever. Gave me antibiotic, pain med that didn t work. Had blood clot test. Ok. Tonight swelling and some pain in right foot. Swelling and slight pain coming back. What kind of doctor do I see now?

Hi,

There are a variety of reasons people could experience numb or tingling feet and legs and fibromyalgia are one of this and most common.

Other conditions include multiple sclerosis, diabetes, tarsal tunnel syndrome, peripheral artery disease, and having too much pressure on the nerves.

Treatment can be started when the right cause is found. In your case, symptoms indicate that it could be neuropathy or fibromyalgia.

I would suggest doing Doppler ultrasound and EMG for a start. Till that check, your blood sugar and calcium levels since these causes may lead to numbness as well.

Though occasional numbness can occur, persistent numbness and tingling can be an indication of a serious underlying medical problem.
