What Causes Tinnitus And Dizziness After Taking A Shower?
I stepped out of the shower and began to dry off but stopped short as my ears started ringing I almost fell over it felt kind of like dizziness but less violent and more concentrated (like the difference between a slap and a punch) and I was breathing so fast all of a sudden. I laid down and the ringing turned into buzzing, it stopped after a couple of minutes and the ringing starts every time I try to get up. Is there something I can do to fix it?
Hello and thank you for your question. In order to give you a more exact answer I should know your age. However, regarding your problem I can say that your symptoms could very likely be due to sudden lowering of blood pressure because of the warm/hot water during shower. Usually, tinnitus and dizziness are associated with high blood pressure but in some persons they could also be triggered by low blood pressure. In absence of other health conditions and assuming that you are healthy, first thing to do is to measure your blood pressure, especially after having a shower. If it results low, then you can do several things to raise it a bit, as for example having a shower with cooler water, or taking some foods that increase your blood pressure, such as tea, coffee, etc. I hope it helps!
