What Causes Tinnitus And Pressure In The Right Ear?

I have had ringing in my right ear on and off for about 6 years. The past year I have had a balloon sensation in my right inner ear with a low hum or hissing sound. It gets worse with storms or allergies. I am on sudafed and a Flonase spray to help with Allergies. It seemed to help for a while but now it's like daily I am fighting with not getting vertigo. If I get it I can end up flat down. What do I do now?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that ringing in ears along with vertigo can occur due to causes like Inner ear infection, perforated eardrum, Eustachian tube dysfunction, Meniere's disease, Acoustic Neuroma etc.

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Audiometry, x Ray MRI can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised medicines like Tricyclic Anti-depressant like Amitryptiline, anti anxiety medication like Alprazolam, as well as Multivitamin supplements can be advised..
You can also be advised Meclizine to reduce vertigo attacks..
White noise devices can be advised..
You can also be advised Neuromodulation..
Avoid exposure to very loud sounds and also avoid diving, swimming etc..
Avoid going out along or driving to prevent accidents..
Take sufficient rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
