I have tinnitus. before it was constant ringing it, when i pressed my teeth (like eating) it woudl make a temporary buzz. Now I can still modulate it with some pressure and jaw moviments... I went to the ENT and he said that I have no hearing problems (did an audiogram, and other exams). Then I went to the dentist, now using a mouthpiece no sleep, but tinnitus is still here. Recently I noticed some kind of mass, hard, almost as bone. It s under the skin, below the ear right in the concave part were the jaw ends. What kind of physician shoul I go to? What is the cause of my tinnitus?
Kindly consult a dentist first so that he rules out any kind of jaw joint problems...if the problem(tinnitus)still persists even after your dentist has confirmed a normal functioning jaw joint...consult an ent surgeon...the dentist might want to do an x-ray.
