What Causes Tinnitus Like Symptoms Post Recovery From Neck Fracture?
I was in a bad car accident 5 months ago. I broke my legs, ankle, c1 and c2 neck fracture, punctured lung, damaged liver, 4 broken ribs, and my pelvis but I think that my neck fracture could be what is causing my problem. I have been cleared from neck therapy because I feel great but any time I lay down on my stomach at all I get a horrible whooshing sound in my ears or head and it is so bad I can t stand it. Can you give me some advice on what I should do please!
Thank you for your query Do you have it only when you sleep on your stomach? If so, it could be because of altered blood flow patterns within your abdomen as a result of the injuries. applying pressure on your abdomen puts pressure on major blood vessels and the blood is pushed toward the peripheries including your head and face causing the whooshing sound. you could confirm it by checking if the whooshing sound corresponds with you pulse/heartbeat which can be felt on the thumb side of the wrist while you look at your palm- 2 finger breadths below the crease between your Palm and forearm
If so, avoid sleeping on your tummy. please feel free to get back to us if you need any clarification hope this helps wish you good health
